Is the malware apart of there recovery discs so if you were to re install the os using the recovery discs ??

Is the malware a part of their recovery discs

I reckon it must be. You would have to run the removal tool every time you used Lenovo's recovery disc or image. The link below lists which models are affected (not all are).

ThinkPad, ThinkCentre, Lenovo Desktop, ThinkStation, ThinkServer and System x products are not impacted.
