SCCM 2012 R2 OS Deployment problems

We currently use MDT to deploy Windows 7, we now have SCCM 2012 R2 that we are slowly moving all our management tasks to, we have run into a very annoying problem when deploying an OS, i started testing with a know laptop refining the task sequence and targeting drivers to specific models, this all went well.

The problems started when i try to deploy to a bare metal or unknown device, the OS deploys fine but totally ignores the imported computer details and treats the device as an unknown device, giving it a random name.

After trawling many sites that show the process as simply creating records as i have done i am at a loss as to why it is handling these as unknown, any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
