Homedrive Within Subfolder Doesnt Work?

Hi All

Running Yosemite and newest OSX Server sharing from a 2012 Box.

The home drives are shared as \\server\users\homedrive e.g \\server\users05$\05Hulbert but I got the error message when I logged in "Do not have permission to access this server" and the ? on the dock.

To test I reshared it as \\server\05Hulbert$ and it worked straight away...

So either need to find out why OSX doesnt like homedrive in subfolders or re-share 1700 home folders :(

I have checked the permissions on the Users folder and it is fine. Is it an OSX glitch? Does anybody else have homefolders shared in this way and it works?

Thanks

Do the users have read, this folder only, on the users05 folder? You can map to a subfolder, but at one point you couldn't go more than one level: \\server\users05$\userfolder worked while \\server\share$\users05\userfolder didn't

Ah nice one @DMcCoy that worked!! Save me re-sharing!

I am now left with this:

Users05$ on the Desktop and I can see all the folders but not access them. Is there a way to not show all of them, only the one I am logged on as?

Would ABE transfer over and work?
