An ICT for Education Conference - Free - Wetherby, North Yorkshire - 2015

Just had this through from my head, there was one last year however i didnt attend so cannot say how good it was.

 

The ICT for Education Conference Programme, 2015

 

Hello from ICT for Education,

 

I would like to invite you and any of your interested colleagues to the LEEDS ICT for Education conference on Friday 6 March at Wetherby Racecourse, York Road, Wetherby West Yorkshire, LS22 5EJ.

 

The event is one of TWELVE regional conferences in the ICT for Education 2015 national conference programme.

 

Registration starts at 7.45 am and the conference closes at 2.15 pm. The conference is free of charge, and lunch and refreshments are provided.

 

The LEEDS conference has a great line-up of speakers, including lead speaker Simon Thomson, head of e-learning at the Centre for Learning & Teaching at Leeds Beckett University. Simon will discuss digital developments that are being implemented in schools and argue the case for ICT activity to be led by learners and teachers, rather than drive by technology.

 

Guest speaker, Andy Hutt, an educational ICT consultant, will present a tour of some free and low-cost ICT apps that are easy to use yet have a significant impact on teaching and learning. Other speakers include Alison Darroch, an ICT leader at Robin Hood Primary School, and Jamie Portman, vice principal of teaching and learning at Darton College.

 

The conference will include a ‘how to’ session on the development of digital leaders that will be led by Chris Sharples, head of ICT at Lady Lumley's School, and will also include a Question Time- style debate dedicated to your questions and designed to discuss topics that are at the top of your agenda.

 

An exhibition of ICT products and services will give you an opportunity to talk directly to suppliers, as well as time and space to meet the conference speakers, and network with colleagues.
