joomla document repository (rush job)

hi does any know of an easy to use document repository for uploading and downloading of documents? our govenors want an electronic space for there minutes etc.

Just downloading docman any one used it that can help me configure it so that only my governors can access it via a login on the governors page?

Docman appears to be great, but when we do PDF's it does not open them it shows a page full of the code instead. Cannot fix it

i agree it looks good although my uploaded docs have disapeared, they appear to upload ok but do not appear?

If I rember with Docman you need to make sure that the uploaded docs have been approved and published for them to be shown.

thats what i thought it would be but there are no docs waiting for approvement, i can see that the files i have uploaded are listed under the files section and not the documents section although i'm not sure why or how to get them to appear as docs.

ah i see whats happening

1. i upload document

2. it gets listed as a file

3. i must link it to a document.

 

it now appears but i don't want to have to do that each time. I want our governors to be able to upload unhindered.
