Hello

We've been having a big debate in the office and I'm hoping that some people might have some thoughts.

The debate is this:

We have office 365 for all students. We've been playing with the one drive for business syncing app and it doesn't work reliably.

As a student was when using an office product that can save directly to their one drive. When using the office 365 web editors it all saves directly.

However the problem arised when they are working in a different product such as photoshop.

Currently they work on the file, save it to their local drive then drag that file onto their web based one drive. This is a bit long and tedious.

Lots of students are still using USB drives and external drives etc - which of course break and get lost

We've looking at a drive mapping option which maps a local unc drive to their one drive. However this is expensive and in my view will cause confusion (when in college save to your Z drive, when at home download the file from one drive, edit it and re upload it as per above)

We can't be the only college having this issues and we'd really like to get some input as to what other colleges and schools have done to address this.
