Jaan Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) So i've been asked to look at deploying and locking down office 2013 for our site, some features i want to disable and hide. We are a Google apps site (don't use 365/one/skydrive), but provide office as an option. I have downloaded the latest ADMX files but it amazes me how much is missing from the gpos for office. Some of the thing i want to do are; Remove the featured templates from the "New" tab I can set the default save locations for everything except Powerpoint & Access (eh?) Remove the "share" option from the "File" Remove the "Account" option from the "File" regards Edited February 5, 2015 by elsiegee40
Jaan Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Anybody managed to change Publisher's 2013 "default working file location" to some where else. Like N:\ for example. I've managed it for everything else (word, excel etc). when i click on "save as" or "Open" it goes to the users N:\ as default. However...... i think microsoft forgot about publisher
Arthur Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Publisher saves to the 'Documents' library by default (at least for us) so we just modified each users Documents.library-ms file to point to N:\. By the way, you may find the following website useful when it comes to the various GPOs for Office 2013. http://stealthpuppy.com/office-2013-customization
Jaan Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Hi thanks for the link, we've also modified the users library files to point to N:\
