Microsoft Outlook for Android and iOS

This is essentially just a rebranded version of Acompli's E-mail & Calendar app that Microsoft purchased last year.

Just installed and it's infinitely better than the outlook Web app!

I'm hoping i can push out settings like i can for the default ios mail app.

I'm still waiting for an app that deals with shared calendars etc. You would think this functionality would be heavily used in business and education circles - come on Microsoft.

 

This app is more of a general mail app (cashing in on the Outlook brand name) that a mobile version of the desktop Outlook experience)

 

PS There are a number of security concerns about the cloud backend..

MS have stated that the app will get a lot of development over the next few months, the same way the office apps have.

I think it uses cloud services between your mobile device and the email server. There is more on the register and Microsoft blogs.

It seems to store your credentials in the cloud if you use the iOS version.

Hmm, not good! If how they're at kat salting the passwords! Im alright as I use MFA and have had to generate an app password. I've already submitted a change request to add support for MFA.
