synaesthesia Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 No idea but I will thoroughly recommend avoiding anything by Buffalo - the hardware speeds have never been great and support is diabolical should something go wrong. Depending on how much you have to back up, how about an RDX drive & cartridges?

Reason i ask about the hard drive is because i know some encryption software doesnt allow it to be seen by windows backup

The support is non-existent, as I found when it took days to get the thing to accept drives over 4TB in size. If it is their primary backup - avoid. The lack of support isn't worth it.

Hi @Trapper I've just bought on DriveStation Duo on Ebay. It's an HD-W1.5lU2/R.AID0/1. Can you tell me if that means I'm limited to two 750GB drives or can I use larger ones? I want maximum capacity, so won't be using RAID. Just having two separate drives will be fine.
