mrforgetful Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Hmmm... Works fine on my computer, XP, IE7, Windows Media Player 11. Doesn't work on another computer, XP, IE7, Windows Media Player 11. Both logged in as me. It's the machine I want to take an Image of that's not working so rather annoying. Says I need Windows Media Player 9 or above but like I said, has Windows Media Player 11. Anyone else come across this? I'm going to guess not.
comedydave Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 possibly stupid suggestion, but try running a couple of rounds of updates on the machine. MS for some reason update lesser versions of thier software than you seem to have. I have WMP11 running on my home windows box, and it always seems to run WMP8 Updates Perhaps its not using WMP11 until it thinks you have properly updated 9. A la, .NET framework v1, v1.1, v2 and v3 running on my machine at once.
mrforgetful Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 Just for information, .NET Framework versions differ to most software in that you need them all. If something requires v.1.1 then you can't just install v.3 as they don't contain all the instructions of the previous versions. Will run some updates though see what happens.
