Sorry to bring up this issue like others, but from my research of other postings I can't seem to find anything that relates to the issue I'm having!

I have followed the following link to the letter in order to create my mandatory profile, however it refuses to give me anything other than a temp profile. It is still redirecting things such as the desktop and appdata, just temp every time and it's starting to get on my nerves!

Mandatory Profiles Solution for Windows 7 | K-5 Computer Lab

Looking in the event viewer I'm getting Error ID 5126: 'Window could not load your roaming profile etc... Windows could not load your profile because a server copy of the profile already exists that does not have the correct security. Either the current user or the Admin group must be owner.'

I'm sure I've got the right permissions set on the folder on the server though.

Thanks in advance.

Have you set the permissions correctly in the registry hive? (not the ntuser.man file - you have to open ntuser in regedit and set them there)

To be honest that tutorial in the link looks like it would cause problems to me. The only MS supported way of creating mandatory profiles is to use sysprep. I set up a virtual machine to create the mandatory profile and run sysprep - I've had no issues doing this way.

open the NTUSER.man in the registry and set the security permissions to Everyone with Full control and Read, the same applies for the SYSTEM user and administrators.

also on the test computer you are using, open Regedit.exe, search for Profilelist, delete anything that relates to the profile then delete the profile from the C:\ drive...

Hope this helps.
