Backup to tape

We use Dell's Appassure to back up, and on the whole it works quite well. However, it only offers back up to disk, and I'd like to archive to tape as well, just for an added peace of mind. I can archive backups off Appassure to a disk, and then write that that archive to tape. Great idea, except Windows 2012 doesn't support back up to tape. Can anyone recommend suitable software for backing up a single folder to tape?

What is it that you like about Tapes? Is it the ability to take it off site?

Yes, partly - partly because we have the kit - tapes and tape drive. I would like to hold monthly archives, and disk space is finite.

I know Symantec backup exec 2012 had lots of issues but we have been using backup exec 2014 on our server 2012 platorm with no issues to date. This is capable of backing up to tapes lto4/5 tapes.
