synaesthesia Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Not sure if this is the right place for this! Here goes though: We use mandatory profiles which work perfectly. All is good with IE for the majority of users, however staff and 6th form have access to Chrome also. I'd like to keep Chrome available on the network, however as the settings for Chrome are kept in the user's home folder, it also (annoyingly) keeps a printer history. Printers are mapped as per the area, so often a 6th former will end up being able to print from a classroom PC without a printer mapped, to any recently used printer. We need this to stop, in an ideal world without removing Chrome or the ability to keep settings per user. Can't find anything useful in registry or other settings, so any suggestions appreciated!
synaesthesia Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Stumbled across a solution; used the chrome ADMX to disable "Print Preview" - far less harsh than it sounds, it forces Chrome to use the system print dialogue instead.
