Mr_Jiminy Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 A special school is wanting to instruct a small number of pupils on the safe usage of mobile devices, mainly in composing SMS. They have a provision of iPad's, however I'm reluctant to utilise these, largely because they are supervised devices, locked down to prevent the obvious. Can anyone recommend anything that could be used for demo and practice that may fit the bill?
Edu-IT Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 What exactly are you trying to do? I don't get the requirement. You want something that sends SMS to each other?
plexer Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Just get a couple of cheap as chips £10 phones from a local supermarket and top up the minimum on each one? Ben
Edu-IT Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Could you not use iMessage on the iOS devices you have? Just turn it off afterwards?

Ben I think that's the best answer, why over complicate. Could you not use iMessage on the iOS devices you have? Just turn it off afterwards? The devices are in supervised mode, I'd rather not keep enabling/ disabling. - - - Updated - - - Just get a couple of cheap as chips £10 phones from a local supermarket and top up the minimum on each one?
