scotyboy56 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Has anyone played this game? I have looked at it but not taken the plunge at buying it and trying it as I don't want to pay loads for a game that I might not play much. So was just wondering if anyone has played it and can let me know how good it is etc.
featured_spectre Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I played for around 2 months, it got repetative really fast when you completed the main quests and were just grinding the veteran quests. I may go on again for another month if they add a boat load more quests, but until then I wont bother. I have 1 char all alliances at the veteran level, and explored the map entirely on one of them...needless to say it did not live up to the hype I had hoped for.
arwen Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) I've been playing in since beta and still enjoy it. It is no more repetitive than any other MMO and much less so than WoW in my opinion. There are some major changes coming in the next few months, with an entire rework of the veteran levels. things have been changing over the past few months too to make it less of a grind. If you like a story rich game with some multi player action (both playing with and against) then it is very good. If all you want from an MMO is to beat other people up, then it is not for you. You get much more XP from questing than you do at PvP. Edited January 12, 2015 by arwen
featured_spectre Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 In that case when the next major update comes out I'll give the notes a thorough review and potentially get back in.
Sunnyknight Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Supported this through beta, all the way into 4 months. One of the most disappointing MMOs I've touched. The PVE side of things were tiresome, exhausting, and just repetivite. The PVP side was pathetic. To take a keep all you needed was a few catapults / trebs and you were in. The defenders had very little chance of holding out the attackers. No ES feel to it what so ever, but hey that's my opinion, along with 6 other people i game with.
scotyboy56 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Hmm so basically don't play it Do you know if they do a 30 day trial like wow to save me forking over £10 to buy it?
LiamH Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Played it for a few months, found it disappointing. For a MMO game it had way too many instanced quests that bugged out when doing it with a friend, was more like playing a single player game with people running around. PVP was horrible when i played it, lagged horrifically and balance was terrible, Mages and archers just destroyed everything to the point that i saw tanks running around with bows/staffs. Ranged attacks have aim assist so they didn't even need to aim at you.. End game was none existent apart from the lagfest that was PVP. Mounts are stupid expensive unless you bought one of the several versions of the game, inventory management was awful too. Good points? erm the voice acting wasn't too bad..
