cpjitservices Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Good morning all, Im looking for a simple solution to what Im trying to achieve which is, convert my Physical running CentOS box to a Hyper-V Virtual host. Does any one know of a simple way to carry this out ? - Seems that if I was migrating a Windows box itd be simple. Thanks in Advance.

jinnantonnixx Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Could you boot Knoppix and make an ISO of your Centos machine with dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/usb[or whatever]/image.iso Then reverse the process with Knoppix on the VM? 1
cpjitservices Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Thanks all for the info, looks like I'll be able to use Acronis... image it and then build a new VM and restore the image, Was wondering if MS had a tool like Vmware does (Converter) seems they do but only works with Windows hosts,
