Hello

Having recently migrated to Exchange 2010 I am experiencing a problem when attempting a backup using Backup Exec 2014.

I get the following error message: 'The consistency check of the snapshot for the Microsoft Exchange database has failed. You should check for possible data corruption in the Exchange Server that is online'

Now I did read somewhere that it may be as simple as turning off the option to 'Use Snapshot Technology' under the 'Advanced Open File Options' in Backup Exec but this has made no difference.

So then I was advised to run Eseutil on the mailboxes which in this case are grouped by year and luckily I have some no longer used so I can test in on those (I had rather hoped the problem might be in one of them so I deselected them from the backup but it still failed).

Having read about Eseutil it just seems very complex to me with a lot of different options that look like they could do a lot of damage if not used right.

Can anybody explain to me the simplest option to use and how to go about it?

Any help greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.
