Arreks Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Here's my predicament; I want to put some good stickers/labels on all of our workstations which would be simple enough if I only wanted to put the academy name bla bla but I want at least the hostname of each workstation on their too.. This means I'd need to get a label printer obviously, but which one?! Obviously I don't particularly want kids to go peeling them off (so if you have any tips or things that can go over the top of the label like superglue or something). How do you all do your labels if you have them? I'm sure most of you will have labels with just default property of school text but I wanna be different
southhamster Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Hi arreks. We use these avery tough labels and the kids havent peeled them off 'yet' http://www.avery.co.uk/avery/en_gb/Products/Labels/Labels-for-Protection-%26-Security/Power-TripleBond-Labels/TripleBond-Labels_L6140_20.htm The avery web label site things lets you import pics csv barcodes etc save as pdf. Print on a laser, job done. We also have anice brother label printer and there are some extra stong tapes but we havent tried them yet. PS we are only a primary, I'm sure secondary kids will remove anything given the challenge. ..
D0liver Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Just an idea...print them as qr codes with all your info you need?
HTCPCP Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 We just use selecta mark for the school details and have a sequential number on the bottom which we record. Then use a rhino printer to mark location of the machine on it. Either way we could work out where it was meant to be!
