HanwellFields Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Good afternoon I cannot access my files externally, just sits and hangs on page ,i have checked all i can any ideas regards
synaesthesia Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Does it work internally? May need to use FQDN for addresses. Also check with other browsers, we note here that IE is awful with it.
HanwellFields Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 All works internally fine,I am using Chrome Thankyou
synaesthesia Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 You don't appear to be getting the login prompt, so it doesn't know who's logging in (we were emailing eachother last week about HAP and HTTPS). Probably needs the right authentication thingy set up in IIS, anonymous auth and forms authentication. Not sure if that'll be why the login page isn't working though; maybe it's pulling auth information through from the local network which it can't get externally.
HanwellFields Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Hi With form and anon authentication on and ssl on (accept) i can get login page, after that i get error 403 forbiddon access if i turn off ssl i can get to myfiles but wont display any data regards
synaesthesia Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Did you follow the video guide for this? Think I had to do some jiggery pokery for it to work properly at the Kettering school and then stumbled across the installation video (doh!). Went back to the start, followed that and all was OK > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCL3Tj55ns0 If you get no luck, I'm on site at that school again this Thursday afternoon, I'll be happy to look more in depth for you.
HanwellFields Posted December 17, 2014 Author Posted December 17, 2014 Many Thanks At a stage where might just start again now i know roughly how it all works regards
