Schools Cash Office - App-V ~ Possible?

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!

 

Trying to App-V Tucasi Schools Cash Office and have got it all working (MIS Dynamic Link as well) except it keeps failing when trying to create a mail merge document with the Online Link codes.

 

It errors saying that it can't the path: C:\sco\MailMergeCSV\.csv - I can understand this because that path doesn't exist outside the virtual app but was wondering if anyone has anyone has had any luck getting it to work and would be kind enough to share the solution.

I have no idea how your application works or how you use it, but I do have a RDS sever set up running a database app and another running an accounts package and both work fine using App-v individually, until it comes to email.

 

The only way I got it to work for me was to login to the RDS server as the user and configure Outlook on the RDS session for the user and run the Application in a full RDS session.

In this configuration everything worked as expected.

Once configured and tested in the full RDS session I returned to the App-V version and low and behold the MAPI aware application just worked!

 

So I have to ask, does your app-v host server have the appropriate mail application installed?

 

I never found a way for the remote APP-V application to interact with the local users environment.
