IcedBreeze Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Hi guys, When I deploy SIMS from Solus 3 to a workstation the program installs absolutely fine. However I find that the SIMS.ini and connect.ini files contain old data which does not point to the correct database, I then have to manually change each file to the correct settings. Is there a way that I can change these details on the server so that when SIMS is deployed it will contain the correct data? Many thanks.
churchy112 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Completely from memory so forgive me if I'm way off track. In SOLUS 3, I'm sure there is a section which you can define the default SIMS/Connect/FMSConnect.inis under Environment > Configure workstations. check the paths and the INI files within 1

Turns out I had to revalidate the database name so the file included the latest version. I'm close to a flawless install, for some reason when the workstation tries to log in to SIMS for the first time, SIMS does not automatically detect the connect.ini file. Even though it deploys in the correct location, thus prompting the user to locate the file.
