Viktor_ Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Hi There, We're currently getting this error when students attempt to create a new database. "The folder '\\*\*\Documents\Database1.accdb' isn't accessible. The folder may be located in an unabailable location, protected with a password, or the filename contains a / or \ This happens every time any of the students attempt to create a new database having not done so before That location is accessible and the students have the right permission. Has anyone encountered this? Thanks, Viktor.
LosOjos Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Which version of Access is it? First thoughts are it's not liking the network path (although I've used DBs from network paths on 2007/10 no problem). Just as a troubleshooting exercise, try mapping the folder to a drive then accessing it from the mapped drive. There's also a setting in Access for the default location for new DBs, so if you already have mapped drives, make sure that's referring to the mapped drive then try again.
Viktor_ Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Sorry I thought i'd tagged it. its Office 2010. I'm trying the default database path in GP, will see.
