gjefferies Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Hi, We have bought several linx 10 tablets and I have put our Windows 8.1 Enterprise build on, so I can join them to the domain etc Everything works great, execpt for the auto-rotation of the screen. It didn't work until I manually added in the Kionix Sensor Fusion device and Simple Device Orientation Sensor. Auto-rotation works i.e. the screen changes, but it seems to be 90 degrees out. i.e. When the tablet is landscape the screen is portrait etc. Anyone know how to resolve this? The ones out of the box work as expected. Thanks Gareth
arh1a Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) I have the exact same problem. I was wondering if it might be a registry setting that needs changing but also found this but haven't tried it yet - Screen Orientation - Change in Windows 8 I know its just the manual way to change orientation but wondering if it might help to change the orientation when its in the wrong position to the right position. gjefferies Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 Yeah I have seen that website, Manually changing the screen works... So I am gonna come back to it... The only thing I can found is there is an additional service on the out of the box ones....
arh1a Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) Have you tried downloading the drivers from this site - http://www.mysn.de/secure/userarea/download.asp?KategorienOrder=010;010&show=Support - As it is a rebranded Schenker Element Tablet Interesting about the additional service running on the stock setup. I have a Linx 8 myself so would be interesting to see if that service is running on that too as its main use would be portrait unlike the Linx 10 which would be landscape. gjefferies Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 The additional services can be found in the registry at HKey_local_machine\system\CurrentControlSet\Services\SensorFusion and possibly SensorServiceDriver I've added them into a new built tablet and rebooted but it doesn't make any difference. Cheers Gareth
arh1a Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 That's a shame as that would have been an easy fix. I'm still not any further forward with this, have you had any joy?
pycroft Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Hi, I m having the same issue with auto rotate disabled on my tablet. My problem is I can't find the Kionix Sensor Fusion device and Simple Device Orientation Sensor software or driver, where did you obtain these? I bought an identical tablet to extract all drivers and transfer over to the other, however that driver or software is missing but everything else worked. If you could get back to me cheers.
gjefferies Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Hi, No I haven't made any progress on these, I have to get them out the door, so its currently a known issue.... Thanks Gareth
arh1a Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Have a look at this thread the drivers work as there is a reg file you run after - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/general-chat/144940-windows-linx-tablet-viable-alternative-netbook-4.html Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0000\Device Parameters\kxfusion] "ACPI\\SMO8500\\1-0"="{DBCFFCEA-38C5-4386-9945-92F183AA5700}" "Orientation"=hex:01,01,00,00,01,01,02
gjefferies Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 Cool that works, many thanks Gareth
