beancole Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Just installed Hap 10.5 went to add a new mapping in My Files and accidentally clicked Filters instead. Basically I have managed to add a file path as a filter. It doesn't stop here I managed to add the same thing again because I wasn't paying attention. As ball bag errors go I currently feel like a very large testicle indeed. The problem is it wont let me delete the incorrect filters. It just gives me the error;- Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I try to edit the filter I get;- The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter HAP.Web.API:origexpression. The InnerException message was 'There was an error deserializing the object of type System.String. Encountered unexpected character 'S'.'. Please see InnerException for more details. So what I need to do is manually remove these two Filters, the problem is where do they live? I have looked in the app data folder and checked all the config files etc. and searched for the info I put in but cant find anything. (the problem doest yet appear to have caused any errors but I would feel alot better with my brand new install for it to be clear of anything like this)
nickbro Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 If you restart IIS/recycle the app pool it shouldn't save the settings, unless you've clicked save. If you have clicked save edit the hapConfig.xml file directly. There are some bugs in the setup page 1
beancole Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Couldn't find it as I hadn't clicked save. Nick Thanks again for the help and such a wonderful product.
