Morning All,

Bit of a strange one here, unless it's Monday brain!

SIMs will upgrade fine if you run SIMsLoad etc so all permissions etc are fine.

However it won't fire off the upgrade via Pulsar automatiicaly, it has to be a manual run of SIMsLoad first, then run Pulsar after.

Is there something obvious I'm missing? Works fine on admin accounts so guessing there's some regkey or something it's checking when you run Pulsar that isn't checked when you run SIMsload?

Thanks,

Steve

In the SOLUS 2 i.e. manually updated server world.

Running simsload is teh only way to trigger an update. simsload checks the simsapplicationsetup version against the sims.ini listed version and triggers an update if required.

The shortcut usually has pulsar passed in as a parameter so after update it runs sims.

In the solus 3 world, you don't need simload, you can just run pulsar as the systems should automagically be up to date.

Ah hmm, maybe it is a silly shortcut as guessing the admins would get the generic "all users" style one, and normal users the deployed one.

Great will check that :)

Thanks,

Steve
