How does everyone provide their student files over the web?

 

I've got some new chromebooks here and need a way for the students to acccess their files. Unfortunatly we use Office 365 not google apps for education so their files are still on a file server.

 

Does anyone have a good way to access files over the web? Just with a login and password?

 

I'd be looking for standalone solutions really, but sharepoint is also a possibility.

you could use owncloud mapped to the users folder on the server and use ldap for the login

Can't you do this with Home Access Plus?

 

EDIT - should have also said, we allow our students access via the VLE. Currently this is Moodle (using the SMB Block) but previously we did it with Frog
