Recent Items/Recent folder..

In an attempt to speed up login times I used tree size to check profiles sizes and file counts of some users on my 2008 R2 server.

I found that Recent Items contained over 9000 files. The path according to tree size on my PC is profile.V2\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

 

However if I open that server location it opens profile.V2\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent Items and there is nothing there. If I right click on the folder "Recent Items" I get a size and count but there is still nothing visible in the folder. If I go to the server directly and navigate to the folder - nothing.

 

I have system and hidden files set to view etc..

 

What am I missing here?
