iTunes 12 - crashing when trying to access the store

So, I finally let my work PC update iTunes (I've been saying no for about 6 months) but now, it just crashes whenever I try and access the iTunes Store.

 

I've tried using with our authenticated and our non-authenticated proxy servers. With the first one, the program freezes entirely. With the second, it doesn't free but I get a normal Windows crash message and it then exits.

 

Anyone else come across this? Kinda need access to iTunes!

Nope, that is not the issue (tried it already). This is definitely proxy related.
