Anyone else play this?

 

It's been in my Steam library for ages, picked it up in some bundle or other. I played the first mission when I first had it and never went back, however now I have my HOTAS (The Thrustmaster T.Flight X, like half of you on here!) it's found new life for me; I'm really enjoying it!

I went through my entire Steam library looking for anything involving flight I could try it out with!

 

Word of warning: you have to change the control mode to "Joystick + Keyboard" or else the throttle won't work, but you don't actually need the keyboard at all when playing - go figure!

 

By default (excuse lack of 'proper' naming of axes, I'm new to this):

- rudder pedals (is that what you call them? The rocking switch on the front of the throttle stick) are mapped to thrusters

- joystick X mapped to strafe

- joystick Y mapped to nose

- joystick twist mapped to roll

 

I have remapped the thrusters to the throttle and roll to the rudder pedals though, find it much more natural to control. Not a fan of the joystick twist at all, I find I'm twisting it by mistake when steering if things get heated, so I was glad when I realized you could lock the TFlight in position!

Only played it on Xbox One and just couldn't find a useable button layout, played the first few missions then uninstalled it.
