Kindle problem

Not sure of the best forum but...

 

Can anyone help with a Kindle 3 ?

 

I won a Kindle in a Prize Draw and decided to give my older K3 to my granddaughter. I deregistered, set her up an account and linked the Kindle to it. I have factory reset Holding power button for 15 secs)it but the books from my account keeps syncing back to the reader.

 

I have deregistered, factory reset, registered, factory reset etc. etc.

 

Anyone know how to wipe this model and keep it wiped so that I can start loading books for her for Xmas?

 

Edit: Soprted, I hope. I hooked it up to a PC and deleted all the books in File Explorer.
