I have recently updated our OS X Server to 10.10 and I am looking to soon update the clients as well. However, I am coming stuck with a few Workgroup manager issues. My predecessor has somehow set dock items for the current Macs, but I can't find out where! I've looked through all settings in Users, Groups, Computers and Computer Groups and can't find anything. To be fair, I don't know if he has set them through another method, but I'm pretty sure there isn't one.

It's strange because brand new Macs out of the box are picking up the dock items as set in the old ones, both as network and local users.

Is there a way I can see which Workgroup Manager policies and in what order are being set on the Macs as can be done for Windows Group Policies? Or possibly a way to completely wipe the Workgroup Manager settings so it can be started from scratch.

All help would be much appreciated (if my questions made any sense?)

OS X Server: Admin tools compatibility information - Apple Support

WorkGroup Manager was deprecated as far back as Lion. Apple made it available for 10.8 and 10.9 but it only worked in a limited way as it was supposed to be used in conjunction with Profile Manager during its infancy. As Profile Manager matured it became less relevant and it's days were always going to be numbered. There was speculation prior to Yosemite's release that Workgroup Manager for Mavericks would be the last time it could be used with any real effectiveness and the above support article confirms its final demise.
