dloudon96 Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Hello, I recently upgraded my macbook at work to windows 10, all was working fine I took it home from work yesterday and attempted to boot it up but it won't boot. I've noticed this issue before and and we've replaced the hdd cables before and I've done the same today (replaced the cable) that never worked so I swapped the hdd. That then worked, when I got home I then reinstalled windows went to format the drive and it didn't show up but it did at work. When I've tested the drive at home with a Sata to usb cable the drive doesn't power up, so that's now two dead hdds. Any suggestions?? Thanks Dan
JRowley Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 At this stage I would simply suggest not installing Windows 10 on a Macbook Pro, the operating system is still just development builds and if the Macbook works perfectly well with OSX then that's probably your answer. If it's not working well with OSX then it's a problem with the Macbook, so you should probably be asking in the Apple section.
dloudon96 Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Ok I'll try that. I'll reinstall windows 8.1 if I can and see how that goes if not then I'll ring Apple. Thanks again for the reply. Dan
