Valkyria Chronicles - PC version now available on Steam!

For anyone unfamiliar with the game Valkyria Chronicles is a sort of hybrid real time turn-based strategy game with some RPG elements thrown in for good measure. It was released on PS3 back in 2008 and for some odd reason, though I'm glad they did, Sega have recently ported it across to PC and made it available on Steam. It's a pretty awesome port as everything now runs at 1080p smoothly and because of the cell shaded animated style of the graphics it doesn't really look dated at all. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone at all interested turn based strategy and/or JRPG's.

 

I Usually wait for single player stuff like this to appear on steam sales but I'm kind of excited at the thought of playing it through in PC with the extra DLC plus I'm hoping it buying it at launch encourages Sega to release the sequels on PC. They only appeared on PlayStation portable which is a system I'll never buy as I've no interest in handheld gaming devices. Its pretty high in the charts just now, and getting good reviews, so hopefully it proves popular.
