AceDaz Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi The head recently upgraded his Maxbook pro to Yosemite and when he tries and prints to his OKI C310 it reports that the filter failed. Not 100% on Mac support, I was wondering if anyone else had this issue? I have tried other open source print drivers and also running the Xerox patches for Mac, but it still fails. Has anyone got any other ideas? I have contacted OKI in October and again today as they ignored my first email. Thanks
mdrabble Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 When printing, try changing the colour settings to match on screen...... it somewhere in the settings, had a similar issue with photoshop on 10.8
AceDaz Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Did that show as filter failed? When printing, try changing the colour settings to match on screen...... it somewhere in the settings, had a similar issue with photoshop on 10.8
davidacland Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 According to the OKI site, their recommendation is "Use 10.8 Driver Bonjour and USB only. TCP/IP support is under consideration". I would expect issues in this case. Printing vendors always seem to be behind so we hold back from deploying OS upgrades if the users need full printing functionality. 1
mdrabble Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Yep, showed as filter failed.... took me ages to work that out
AceDaz Posted November 15, 2014 Author Posted November 15, 2014 Thanks, do you know if it would work if I shared it from a Windows 2008 server and added a windows shared printer on the Mac? Thanks
