AceDaz Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi We use the Achievement points for rewarding pupils, but we want someway of automating the display of these reward points to pupil, and I was wondering what other people did for displaying these? Is there not a piece of software that a pupil can use, either using SSO or logging on separately to show their balance / ideally showing how they gained these points - what they did and which teacher gave them their points. Similar to running a bank account? Thanks
vikpaw Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Students have login to SIMS Learning Gateway, so there is probably a widget there that will do it. SLG is well expensive though, so perhaps a better option is something like TASC which by all accounts is nicer for all parties.
ITGuyWestMidlands Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I wrote a small app that pulls achievement data from sims every night and displays it to the student via our intranet. It also allows a house point counter plus an awards system where house leaders can track who in their house have reached an number for an award
clareq Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 We use TASC Insight to display behaviour and achievement points to students and parents, and SIMS INTouch to text parents each evening if their child has received either achievement or behaviour reports.

Does it extract the data from this school year or the total from their entire school life?
