Sheridan Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Can I just check I'm not doing something obviously wrong here! We run Ruckus wireless and use NPS on Server 2012 for radius authentication. This works fine on Windows laptops. If I try to create any kind of profile with the apple configurator it just fails to authenticate with the ruckus zone director. I guess this is something to do with certificates and the apple configurator, but which certificate is it objecting to - there is a self certified certificate on the NPS server (from our internal CA), and one on the ruckus box which is what it came with. Even if I add both of those onto the profile it still fails - is it also expecting a Root CA for the ruckus ZD, because it only came with a auto-generated one on it, which doesn't seem to resolve back to a root CA?
Sheridan Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) Well, I generated a CSR for our internal CA and put that certificate and private key onto the ZD - and also into the apple configuration profile. Any device trying to connect using that profile still gets blocked - just a continuous list if 'disconnects from WLAN' in the dashboard for that device. Anyone got a wireless profile like this to work with apple profiles? Edit: Its the apple tv - the profile I configured works with ipads but the apple tv generate a really useful error of -369032215 which apple don't seem to recognise. Back to the drawing board!
