Really quick question.. how on earth do you add multiple users to the school youtube channel so i dont have to give out the main admin username and password.

According to this google help page, you must first connect your Youtube page to a google+ page, after which you can add up to 50 other users who can manage the channel.

Ive done this and created a channel called {schoolname}_teacher and emailed a test user. The invitiation goes to said user however they cannot log in as I haven't set any usernames or passwords.

 

Is it me or is youtube backwards?

It's not you. To be honest it's down to googles desperate attempt to get everyone using google+

No - it's available in the admin panel under More Google Apps. I think it is disabled for GAFE accounts by default, but you can turn it on for all or selected users.

Yeah, I meant blocked by default. Not sure why a school would want to open it up tbh.

I looked at Google+ recently and as it seems to make every account publicly facing, seems a child protection issue waiting to happen to me.

@timbo343 - How do you set up a channel in the Schools name? I have logged into GAFE and gone to Youtube but it just gives me a channel with my name on it.

I don't want it really linked to my account.

YOu should be able to sign up via a different (master) account for your school here. Been a couple of years since I set it up but think it was problem free.

This might have been discussed before but we can contact youtube for channels to be unlocked for schools instead of manually allowing all the videos from the channel
