DCUK6 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 (edited) Hi, Trying to install Discover onto the system. Our SIMS server is run by the LEA but they have allowed our machines to access the database. I have SIMS working on our machines and connecting fine. However when trying to install Discover it cant access the Discover or SIMS database. I've spoken with the LEA and they say there arnt any firewalls blocking the request and they had a quick look but didn't have any luck. Anyone had this before or know the answer? We cant contact Capita directly otherwise I would ask them. Edited November 6, 2014 by DCUK6

DCUK6 Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 There are different config files for discover. off top of my head I don't know what they are though. I would look for those. Im sure someone else can help Just found it here C:\ProgramData\Discover\Discover.Designer.Desktop.exe.local.config Everything has been added by the installer. Just tested the connection using a UDL file and it says about a login failure because of its coming from a untrusted domain. There server is on another domain. That was on the sims database. Not sure how SIMS can connect though.
