maccy10 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 (edited) We’re predominately a Windows shop and in the process of binding our (10.9 only) Macs to AD. At the moment our iMacs mount the SMBHome contained within the homeDirectory attribute on AD as expected, under /home/username. However, what I'd like to do is have clients take this attribute but add a suffix so the path: smb://share/staff/firstletterofusername/username/MacOSX ....gets mounted, as opposed to: smb://share/staff/firstletterofusername/username (which is used by our Windows clients). Can anyone advise the best way of going about this? We have the Casper Suite so looked at writing a login script but the 'Use UNC path from Active Directory...' option seems to trump everything. Without the option checked the user gets dumped into /var/empty and can't write anything. Edited October 23, 2014 by maccy10
