A uniquely progressive independent school located in the Hampstead Heath area require a SIMS/Data/MIS manager position.

Your duties will include: Inputting of data and data structures, carrying out the retrieval (reporting) and presentation of data, designing reports, maintaining Assessment Manager and Profiles, working closely with the Head of ICT Support and the Head Teacher and oversee of the on-going development of the SIMS Learning Gateway. Liaising with Capita support, keeping SIMS licences up to date, ensuring full backups are taken on a regular basis, maintaining users and user accounts, troubleshooting issues to do with the SIMS system and deployment of SIMS to new computers via SOLUS. Working closely with the Head of ICT Support and ICT Development Group to construct a SIMS Development Plan and liaising with staff in charge of areas affected by SIMS on future developments. You would be responsible for designing and running reports for administrative purposes and building up a library of reports for wider school use. You would be responsible for training users. You will be responsible for all end of year procedures and the successful promotion of year groups from one year to the next, printing of timetables and set lists from the SIMS data. You would be responsible for arranging cover, and good advice and assistance if there are issues with data, or basic problems with the software and to complete the necessary returns, either to the DFE or the Independent Schools’ Council.

 

In order to apply for this role it is essential you have a clean CRB/DBS check and experience of working in a similar position within education.

Salary will be around £36k per annum also the school offers some generous benefits. Paid holiday entitlement is 26 days per school year (plus 8 bank holidays). Normal hours of work are from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
