Working withinRM's BSF (‘Building Schools for the Future’) IT Programme in Newham, London,the Senior Support Engineer will be part of a core team delivering acomprehensive ICT Managed Service against SLAs to London secondary schools. The Senior Support Engineer will be predominantly based atone school site as the sole engineer / technical lead or similarly working witha more junior engineer at a larger school. In both cases the Engineer and theschool benefit from the additional support of a wider regional team as well asRM’s award-winning remote technical service desks. The role is very autonomous with a focus on providing broad2nd /3rd line technical problem solving/networkmanagement as well as building strong relationships with the school leadershipand teaching staff and ensuring contractual compliance against SLAs andimproved operational efficiency. This is a varied IT lead support role in a very rewardingenvironment that requires the building of strong relationships with the schoolstaff. If you’re a Senior ICT Support Engineer with broad technical problemsolving skills, are a great communicator with a proactive attitude andultimately get a real buzz out of going the extra mile for customers, this isthe role for you. The Individual • 2nd / 3rd line IT support & implementationexperience including MS Server 2008/2012/XP/7/8, AD, Group policies, DNS, DHCP,network infrastructure, VMware, Citrix, CC4, switches etc, ideally within acustomer-focused environment • Strong problem solving abilities. Excellentcommunication, customer handling and inter-personal skills • Strong planning, organising and prioritisingabilities. Target focused.
