HyperV VM file server

I'm a HyperV newbie and I'm stuck on trying to figure out how to set the file server up in regards to the file store.. I have a SAN however what's the best way to link the SAN storage to the VM so i can store everyone's data.

iSCSI would be the best method.

 

Depending on the physical hardware you could use a dedicated LAN port for the connection, otherwise jut connect it to the network

Yeah iscsi works fine - I did it with a qnap box. Hyper v is great, easy to setup and restart machines. Be careful if its HP host server - I had issues with a network card and it was basically a tick box to untick - I set up 1 network card in hyper v for each machine and worked great
