michaelt1979 Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 We'd like to allocate students to houses on SIMs, but can't see an obvious way of doing that other than going into individual children's records. Is there a screen where children can just be selected for the relevant House? In the pastoral structure I can only see children who are already members, but not any way of allocating students to those houses. All advice welcome!
LosOjos Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 You can't do it retrospectively (i.e. it will be effective from the date you input the house), but if you right click on the word 'House' in Pastoral Structure and select 'Members', you should see all of your students listed as rows, and your houses as columns, it's then just a case of putting a tick in the relevant box.
michaelt1979 Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Hmm... that's what I was expecting. But in fact, when I select 'Members' I see only the names of children whom I have already tried to allocate manually to a house via their Student Details page.

You must right click on the actual word 'House' and select members; this will show all students as rows and all houses as columns. if you right click on the name of the house itself, you'll only see members of that house listed, and only that house listed as a column (which it sounds like you're doing).
michaelt1979 Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Ah! Forgive me - you are quite correct. *must read instructions properly*
