Office for iPad - Connect to sharepoint

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone may be able to help us here, we are testing the office suite for iPad and so far so good.

 

The one fundamental issue we cannot get around is connecting to our existing file server, we have installed sharepoint and setup a web part so can access files via a browser.

 

Now from what Im read it doesn't sound like we can do what we wanted to and connect to our existing files on our file server....

 

Any ideas?

I thought you could only connect to Office365 and not pre-hosted environments

Cheers for the reply, honestly not sure...I have limited knowledge of sharepoint but managed to get an internal site up and running, can authenticate against it from within the app just not view any folders or anything

 

If I setup a hosted site within the office365 interface that works fine however only allows me access to cloud based material....why oh why can't they just integrate webdav
