First Install

Afternoon all,

 

I'm doing a first time installation of HAP (mainly to look at helpdesk and booking options). I've built a new virtual server running Windows Server 2012 R2 and have followed the setup instructions as per the video entitled "HAP+ Windows Server 2012 Setup" (so I've made changes to IIS and the webconfig file as instructed).

 

I'm now trying to browse to the site in order to run the setup/installation but I get the following error (see screenshot).

 

 

Any suggestions?

Sorry about this. I left HAP on Friday having gotten to the initial setup pages. Left it at that for today. Come back to it just now and I'm getting the following screen when I try to access.

 

 

Any suggestions?

Server restart/make sure server is up to date WU wise

Thanks for coming back to me again.

 

There are no updates available for the server (I've given it a restart though just in case). Logged back on and it's still the same :-(

The error is a generic AD error, I don't know how to fix that one, usually a server restart fixes it.

Have you tried to edit the hapconfig.xml file delete the AD credentials from there and set 'FirstRun=True'

 

Before editing anything make sure to take a copy of the file you edit this will save you a lot of time if it breaks.

 

If the above doesn't work, I would delete the hapconfig.xml and restart the server.

The first of the two fixes sorted it (I obviously then didn't have need to do anything with the second solution).
