A great opportunity for an IT Customer Support Technician toprovide onsite IT support to schools as part of a large-scale managed servicewith one of the ‘UK’s Top IT Employers’*.

Working within RM'sBSF (‘Building Schools for the Future’) Programme, the Customer SupportTechnician will be part of a core team delivering a full ICT Managed Service(MS Server 2003,08,12 / XP/7, AD, Group policies, DNS, DHCP, VMware, Citrix,wireless, network switches etc) to a mix of newly constructed and existingschools.

You’ll be predominately based at one secondary school,working alongside and learning from a more experienced engineer as you respondto 1^st line incidents and issues logged by the customer. If you arepassionate about ICT, enjoy solving problems, have strong communication skillsand thrive on working in a busy and target-oriented environment, this is agreat opportunity for you.

The Individual

• Experience of maintaining and supportingnetworks - Windows XP and 7, email solutions such as Exchange and Outlook, andInternet / Intranet access

• Strong problem solving abilities and excellentcommunication and inter-personal skills

• Sound planning, organising and prioritisingabilities. Target focused. Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adaptquickly to a developing type of service delivery

• Prior school ICT support experience and exposureto working in customer-oriented IT environments may be useful, but isn’tessential.
