Echo AQA GCSE German Active teach Software

We are using Echo AQA GCSE German Active teach and have a strange issue where the sound will randomly cut out whilst using the software. The sound is playing through USB Promethean Active inspire software. Things we have tried to no avail

:-

 

• New USB extenders

• New Cables

• Latest version of Active Inspire

• Making sure the users have logged off not switch user

• Latest firmware for the whiteboard

 

 

Still the sound will cut out midway. Does anyone else use this software and have similar issues?

It's an issue with the software. We had the same problem (over a year ago!) & engaged with the software developers to the point where they actually took away one of our machines (all our machines are DELL, running Windows 7) away for a week but we didn't get to the bottom of it. At the time, I had seen quite a few similar complaints abut this series of language products, so the company is well aware (and has been for some time) of the issue.

 

They advised us to load the software onto our Moodle and run the audio from that. Not sure if that was 'a fix' as our MFL teachers are not Moodle fans and try not to use it. I still get complaints regularly...

 

The software did work fine on Win XP...

 

If you find an actual fix, I'd be really interested to know what it is!
