GCSE Practice paper translation

A teacher has approached me and asked how she can edit a pdf scan of a practice paper to replace the English text with translations for various languages.

 

I've converted to word with acrobat but it completely ruins the formatting and some charts which are in the paper. I also considered letting her loose with Photoshop to just blank over the text and enter the new stuff in but this is probably above her head and will cause more trouble for me .

 

Any ideas?

 

Edit: should probably specify that these aren't to prepare kids for GCSE's but more to find out where new starters with a poor grasp of English are currently at!

If you google the test paper you should be able to find an electronic version. That way you can do much more with it.

I'm not sure why this didn't occur to me but having done this I found http://www.mrbartonmaths.com/gcse.htm which has all the papers in .doc format. perfect!

I would say download them from the exam board websites and use a pdf editor like Acrobat Pro to do as you please with them, its the one program in that suite that can be extremely handy

Don't exam boards actually provide them in other languages on request?
