Hi all.

 

Just had a demo of learnpads. They look absolutely fantastic. A complete iPad killer for schools and a competitive price too. Everyone thinking about tablets should look at these and definitely consider them. They are a game changer in the tablet field.

We have them and they are really good but they have made an ipad version. Not sure how it works on an ipad as they can run custom rom on android which gives it its flexibility.

The last time I read about this the iPad app is just that, an app that allows the portal content to be displayed. It doesn't lock the device down in any way. If you also consider that you can use the Learn Pad system on any Android device running 4.2 onwards in the same way the LearnPad own devices, you could have a Nexus 7 working in the exact same way as the solutions provided as stock.

They are great. We have many schools using them and nothing but positive feedback.

What issues? as I have just ordered some for a SEGFL school.

Firewall and filtering mainly.

Also found that the Transparent proxy helped a lot
