Cursive font?

One of our reception teachers wants to order a cursive font, but I want to present a free/cheaper option.

 

I've sent over a couple of links to google fonts and fontsquirrel, but was wondering what other people use.

 

 

The one they sent me to look at was this. [£50 for a font? Yer havin' a laff!]

It took me a while to get the fonts websites to go through our filters as they flagged up as spam and malware.

Script > School fonts | dafont.com is quite good, pick a theme, enter a phrase and you can preview different fonts. you can also under /more options' filter by licence type.

We use Sassoon fonts:

 

Sassoon® fonts - for Schools, Teachers, Parents, Publishers, Designers products

We use the Penpals handwriting scheme throughout school - it includes several versions of the Sassoon font. Its expensive though compared to £50!

One thing to note if you want to use joined up letters is that the font is only joined in Word 2010 or above as older versions don't allow the extra ligatures or contextual alternates.
